Quarantine Blues

This slump will soon be over,

Like the ferry from Calais to Dover,

The borders have officially now closed,

All these restrictions add to our woes.

These changes are drastic but it’s ok,

Don’t be absorbed by this disarray.

A stormy sea can be sailed,

You can fix a train that’s derailed.

Where there’s an up there’s a down,

Where’s there’s a smile, there’s a frown.

Autumn the leaves fall then winter will arrive,

But spring turns to summer the season where things thrive.

So box up all this pain and use it as power,

And patiently wait for these hardships to flower.
