A Manifesto

Responses to NOW, published NOW.

All submissions respond to the international change of lifestyle brought about by coronavirus. With more time alone, working remotely, not working, people are having to entertain themselves. The structure of societies, and who they can care for when push comes to shove, is being exposed. This publication hopes to bring together what people are thinking, producing, and to make a space where it can be shared. It chooses to see this moment as a time of community in isolation, of pulling together and creativity, and to use the internet for its simplest and best purpose: to connect people over distance, to soften self-isolation and to show solidarity.

We are looking for breadth, and different kinds of work which, post-peak, can be collated and published. We don't want news pieces, but any other approach is welcome. Some ideas:

Poetry

Cartoon

Short Stories

Opinion Pieces

Painting

Collage

Analysis

Interview

Music

Memes

And much, much more.

With different repercussions internationally, we want an international outlook, and will publish work in any language, although we will need an English translation.

Everyone is thinking more, and creating more. We want to shore these thoughts up for when things get better, to document and to remember the changes now taking place.

About Three Sisters Productions

Three Sisters Productions was founded in 2018 by Siofra, Grainne and Cara Dromgoole to tell stories which welcome complexity with sincerity and playfulness.

In 2018, our debut production, Walk Swiftly and with Purpose by Siofra Dromgoole opened at the Edinburgh Fringe and transferred to Theatre503 for a sold out run and rave reviews.

In 2019, Baby, What Blessings by Siofra Dromgoole previewed at The Bunker theatre, toured to The Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal, opened in Edinburgh and transferred back to Theatre503 for another sold out run.

Although as a company we have primarily been involved in theatre, we're throwing ourselves behind this project as a way to keep trying to bring people together.
